Last push for defence as mushroom trial hits nears end

Mushroom Cook Erin Patterson’s lawyer will make a final pressure to convince his client that he did not serve beef wells of beef well -tied with mushrooms.
Colin Mandy SC is expected to finish the closing address on Thursday after Patterson claims that three murders and attempted murder attempts were innocent.
Prosecutors claim that 50 -year -old Patterson’s former mother -in -law Don and Gail’s sister Heather and Heather’s husband Ian Wilkinson intentionally poisoned.
Don, Gail and Heather died on July 29, 2023 after consuming beef Wellington lunch served by Patterson at his regional Victoria’s home.
Mr. Mandy argued that Patterson did not mean he was guilty of murder before and after lunch and argued that he had no reason to kill his guests.
He accepted his lie that cancer was stupid, but he said he made up his plans to enter weight loss procedures.
Mr. Mandy rejected that the lie of cancer was a matter to bring guests home, as he lied at the end of the dinner after the beef well.
The lawyer told the jury that his client also ate toxic food, but he meant that his young age, heavier weight, and later vomiting, his symptoms were less severe.
Mr. Mandy, from Germany, pointed out that people can react differently while consuming mushrooms of death cover.
Defense lawyer criticized the allegations of prosecution, Patterson claimed that he had served tasks about the death titles in the Gippsland region and then went to places to be fed for mushrooms.
Mr. Mandy, the jury, Patterson’un April and May 2023 on the stubborn tasks that there is no evidence that there is no evidence, and the cell tower data can only be near Outtrim and Loch on the relevant days, he said.
When Mr. Mandy finishes his closing address, Justice Christopher Beale will give the jury his latest instructions.
