Late Queen ‘roasted’ this US President after embarrassing mistake | Royal | News

King Charles and Queen Camilla are preparing to host Donald Trump in Windsor this week, and various moments come up with previous US presidents. Such an engagement was the signs of Queen Elizabeth and President George W. Bush during Monarch’s last visit to the United States in 2007.
Elizabeth was known for his humorous humor and open -hearted jibans and was no different when he spent with the former US president. Mr Bush made a mistake on May 7 in the White House, while meeting the royal guests for more than 200 years.
In his speech, he said: “The American people are proud to invite your Majesty to the United States, a nation you know very well.
“After all, you ate with ten US presidents.”
“In 1976, you helped our nation to celebrate the two hundreds of hundreds of years.”
Gaffe gave a look at him not only by the crowd who laughed, but also before the president told the gathered: “He gave me a look at me just a mother.”
A few days later, the late Queen returned to an official dinner on the British ambassador’s residence in Washington.
During the official toast, Elizabeth said with a smile: “Mr. President, I wondered that I should start by saying ‘when I was here in 1776’, but I don’t think I will do it.”
Guests, including Mr. Bush, exploded with laughter, and the President of the United States later said in his speech: “Majesty, I can’t undertake it.”
Elizabeth’s last time in the USA. His son, now King Charles, former US President George HW Bush returned to his name in 2018 to attend the state funeral.
