Eclipse diamond drill push to target Greenland rare earths potential
The Eclipse’s Ivigtût project is home to the historical Ivigtût Cryiolite Mine, the only commercial natural source of the world’s rare mineral. The mine produced 3.8 million tons of cryolite throughout its 120 -year history. Historically called Greenland Spar, the Croylite is colorless than the white, soft Halide mineral, which was once the primary source of aluminum.
It is full of mineral waste, silver, zinc, gallium and copper, which is created from curious metal in search of curious metal, and offers a potential early stage revenue flow for the young explorer.
Ivigtût also hosts a high -ranking 5mt quartz source with an average of 99.9 percent silica. Extraordinary purity is ideal for premium markets, including photovoltaic panels, semiconductors and other senior electronic applications.
Carl Popal, Chairman of Eclipse Metals, said: “Signing this drilling agreement points to the beginning of a very active stage for Eclipse in Greenland. With strong global acceleration behind the securing rare soil supply chains, Eclipse is well positioned to show the scale and quality of Greenland expectations. “
Greenland, sitting in a geopolitically safe judicial field, is rapidly revealed as a strategic rare soil center that hosts some of the world’s largest uncompromising rare land deposits, including Kvanfjeld and Kinglerne.
A stone throw from Grønnedal, the rowing ready-made KVANEFJELD project of the Energy Transition Minerals on the ASX list, has a Jorc compatible source with one billion tons and a ore reserve of 108mt-37 years. Located as a first -class supplier of rare soils, Kvanefjeld is rich in neodymium, praseodymium, terbium and dysprosium, which is critical for global energy transition.
While the equipment mobilization is close, Eclipse is about to present the most important drilling campaign in Ivigtût and Grønnedal rare worlds and critical mineral projects. The program is designed to test key zones in both projects, and the results should shed light on the scale and quality of Greenland’s rare soil potential. In a hungry market for safe and alternative magnet metal resources, the success in this drilling campaign can position Eclipse as a key player in global energy transition.
