The full statement reads: “Police were called to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a bus on Vicar Lane in Leeds city center at 5.28am this morning.
“The 51-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital and treated.
“A crime scene remains in place for a collision investigation on Vicar Lane while officers continue to monitor the man’s condition in hospital.”
