Leeman Humpback Rescue: Fisher spots entangled whale near Beagle Islands sparking huge local rescue effort

A humpback whale was detected on the Leeman coast, fighting with a rope, triggering a crazy local rescue and competing against time to save it.
On September 24, a local Fisher detected a humpback whale with a serious problem and gave an opinion at 13:30.
Parks and wildlife service personnel supported by the Fishing WA team from the Gulf of Jurien were mobilized within one hour and competed towards where the whale was detected.
Until 16:00, the crew found the whale, anchored the sea base and fought to breathe. The ropes wrapped tightly around the tail of the tail, the Fluke, the pectoral fin, and even passed through the mouth.
The circulation was complex and the team was competing against fading light, but decided to move the whale without damaging.
The team started by cutting the key lines to alleviate the pressure on the whale and helped him gain floating. After fixing a viewer and the security line, they carefully removed the remaining rope from his mouth and released the whale just before the sunset.
