Williams Coaches said one of its services was facing “significant delays” due to the crash and the road was expected to remain closed for “several hours”.

A spokesman said: “Due to a serious collision the A470 is currently closed between Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon. The road is likely to remain closed for several hours. This will cause significant delays to our T4 service. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
