A38 crash: Boy, 7, dies after being hit by car near M6 Toll

A seven-year-old boy died in a crash on a main road in Staffordshire.
Police officers were called to the scene of a collision between a car and a child on the A38 at the A5206 junction near Lichfield at around 5am on Saturday.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Sadly the 7-year-old boy died at the scene.
“His family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained police officers.”
The A38 was closed in both directions between the A5148 and A5 junctions for more than 10 hours while police investigated.
Police are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone with information or dashcam footage to call 101 or email ciu@staffordshire.police.uk and quote incident 109 of March 7.
