World Athletics Championships: Tokyo warm-up facilities ‘not perfect’, says Lord Coe

After taking its place in the 800 -meter final on Sunday, Hodgkinson said he might have to change his routine.
He said: “You are warming up for almost two hours with all the warming status.
“It can be evacuated quite, so maybe we should look at doing something better on Sunday.”
Last week, the American medium -distance runner Nikki Hiltz described it as “strange” and added: “It is definitely not usual, but we are all on the same boat.”
Jamaican coach Stephen Francis was more critical. In an interview with his country’s TVJ news channel, Francis said he thinks that there are a series of logistics problems, including “distance from the stadium to the heating track”.
“These areas of a meeting do not suit the best meeting of the year for world athletics.”
A World Athletics statement said: “Sports experience is very important for the World Athletics and Local Organization Committee in these World Athletics Championships, and we have very careful about its preparations in places and space restrictions.
“This type of configuration is not unique – as we have seen from previous Olympic games and other major athletics championships.
“The rules related to heating, call room and transportation are applied to every team and every athlete without exception.
“The bright performances we have ever seen from the athletes speak for themselves.”
