Smith-Schuster and Branch talked to each other before the defensive back shoved the wide receiver into the helmet. Smith-Schuster got down on one knee and ran back. Isiah Pacheco was trying to hold off the Lions player. Smith-Schuster came back at Branch, trying to take him down.
Although Branch was stopped by Pacheco, he still managed to remove Smith-Schuster’s helmet. Players from both teams intervened and tried to separate the two opponents. When the conflict ended, another punch was thrown.
