Live updates on heatwave, severe weather warnings, fire across NSW
Good morning. As you can probably already sense, we are dealing with a hot event.
At 7.30am the temperature in Sydney is 28 degrees. By 2pm the mercury is likely to reach 43 degrees.
Meteorological Department announced extreme heat wave warnings For Sydney as well as the Illawarra, South Coast, Southern Highlands, Snowy Mountains, South West Slopes and Riverina regions.
Severe heatwave warnings Available for the Hunter, Central Highlands, Central West Slopes and Plains, Lower West and Upper West regions.
But heat is not the only danger. Hot dry and high wind conditions extreme fire warnings For the Greater Sydney Region, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Monaro Alps, Southern Ranges and Southern Slopes.
