Four Corners Ukraine report sparks angry Russian government response

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the ABC and its four corner programs on the latest report in the Ukrainian drone unit fighting with the forces of Vladimir Putin.

The story described in detail how Russia’s technology and war tactics changed during the war that began with full -scale invasion of Russia on February 2022.

Journalist Mark Willacy went to the front fronts in Ukraine and spent time to witness how they used drones to target Russian soldiers with the Achilles battalion.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova used the weekly press briefing in Moscow on Friday to criticize reporting and described the audience as a “ugly creation” that invited a Russian soldier to closely observe the process of remote killing with Kamikaz drones.

He accused ABC for “demonizing Russia”.

“Of course, the hostility of the Australian media mainstream maintenance is not something new, but ABC has taken it to the real Russophobia level.” He said.

ABC’s criticism was a small part of Ms Zakharova’s briefing for almost 4 hours.

In a statement, an ABC spokesman: “The Four Corners program is a correct and unlimited report of this aspect of the Russian-Ukraine war.

“ABC is standing next to the program and the private team that reports it.

“Four Corners reported this conflict on both sides. Last year he published a program from the Russian front.”

During his glittering career, Willacy has won numerous awards, including Australia’s greatest honor in journalism, Gold Walkley, and reported for ABC from more than 30 countries.

Russia had previously criticized Western media organizations, including ABC, to cover the war in Ukraine.

He also approved more than one ABC journalist who declared his invasion and accused them of “spreading lies”.
