Lokesh Moves Bill For International Law University In Amaravati

Vijayawada: Minister of Education N. Loksh, on Saturday at the EP Legislative Council, carried three government bills, and one of them is to establish an International Law Education and Research University in Aaravati. Loksh said that the Details of the Council of Indian Bar Association (BCI) established a national law faculty in Bengaluru in 1986.
It has become a model law university for this country. In 1993, the Minister said that a Chief Justice Conference decided to establish similar legal institutions in all states in India. Accordingly, BCI created a confidence and later founded the International Law Education and Research University of India in Goa. Loksh, EP Governor S. Abdul Nazeer’s Arbitration Center, Mediation and Advisory Center and a Judicial Training Center, together with the establishment of an international university of law in Amaravati announced that it shows special interest.
The Minister said that the state government has allocated 55 acres of land in Aaravati for these institutions. The reservation rule will be monitored according to the directives given by the center. In addition, 25 percent of the seats will be reserved for EP students. Loksh, who referred to the promise of establishing a Supreme Court of Court in Kurnool, said that they started the process.
He expressed his trust in establishing the HC bench and the arbitration center in Kurnool. Minister, andhra Pradesh Private (Universities Establishment and Regulation) (Third Amendment) Law, 2025 and Andhra Pradesh Universities (Amendment) Law, 2025 carried two more invoices.
He said that a special action was published in 2016 to establish private universities in 2016. They said they were categorized to two Greenfield and Brownfield University. In accordance with the law, 14 private universities were established in the state.
This law was amended in 2023, but the changes were found to be contrary to the UGC guidelines. It has become a difficult task for foreign universities and local universities to come in the EP. Two new invoices are to promote and promote the establishment of universities in both public and private sectors in the state. The Assembly has now passed these bills to the Council for approval.
