Minister Donald TrumpAmerica’s favorite pollster has released a new poll showing Republicans are poised to take a hit in the 2026 midterm elections.

FabrizioWard’s poll found that “the national overall Congressional vote currently favors Democrats by a seven-point margin.”

FabrizioWard is the strategy and consulting firm he leads. Tony Fabrizio And Bob Ward; Fabrizio is a veteran Republican strategist who served as Trump’s chief pollster in 2016 and 2020. 2024.

The company’s latest figures were announced last week, on December 18. These figures were based on 1,000 registered voters across the United States.

FabrizioWard’s memorandum focused on seeing whether there was widespread support for federal standards to protect minors from artificial intelligence.

In the statement, the company called on Republicans to “protect children” by supporting artificial intelligence regulations; It was stated that this move would gain great support among parents.

“Republicans have a choice: They can capitalize on voters’ strong desire for the federal government to protect children and empower parents from the harms of AI and get the necessary voter support, or they can embrace the minority view arguing for state-by-state regulations,” the firm said. “Taking action has a huge electoral advantage; standing up to national standards to protect children and empower parents exposes Republicans to significant electoral losses.”

Not only would this be a way for Republicans to narrow the gap with Democrats heading to 26, but it would also be a way to completely flip the midterms, FabrizioWard wrote in his memo.

The firm said more than 80 percent of voters support a national law requiring AI companies to implement “reasonable steps to reduce risks to minors, including the risks of cyberbullying, mental health problems, sexual abuse, drug use, gambling and self-harm.”

“By supporting the policies discussed above to protect children and empower parents, Republicans have the opportunity to significantly leverage voting support, turning a 7-point deficit into a 13-point advantage, a net 20-point gain,” the firm wrote.

The Trump Administration seems aware that the midterms don’t look good for Republicans, at least right now. White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles said earlier this month that Trump would campaign as if it were a presidential election year to boost Republican turnout.

“Usually in midterm elections, it’s not about who’s in the White House. You localize the election and keep federal officials out of it.” Wiles said. “We’re actually going to flip that and put it on the ballot because a lot of those low propensity voters are Trump voters.”

Donald Trump Jr., who said at AmericaFest last weekend that the Republican Party is no longer a thing, said the conservative movement is now called the “America First Party” or the “Make America Great Again Party.” Vice President J.D. Vance seemed to agree when he took the stage later, using the same America First Party phrase.
