Aussie music legend Col Joye dies aged 89

Australian music legend Col Joye died at the age of 89.

Colin Frederick Jacobsen AM – Better known as Col Joye – the pioneer of Col Joye and Joy Boys and the iconic Australian group Bee Gees’ discovery ..

In 1959, he became the first Aussie pop star to hit the number 1 in local lists with a single ‘Bye Bye Baby’.

In the early 1960s, Joye would continue to remove the first three or ten hit with Joy Boys.
