Earthquake of magnitude 3.9 hits Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra

An earthquake of 3.9 magnitude hit Kangra on August 18, 2025 at 21:18, Himachal Pradesh. One tweet, National Seismology Center (NCS), “M: M: M: M: 3.9, on: 18/08/2025 21:28:36 Ist, Lat: 32.23 N, Long: 76.38 E, Depth: 10 km, Location: Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.”

In the early hours today, an earthquake of 4.3 magnitude hit Assam’s Nagaon, and this month the seventh earthquake in the province and third in the region was third in the region. According to NCS, Richter scale was recorded at 12.09 at a depth of 35 km. Authorized, the earthquake was felt in Nagaon and adjacent areas.

Monsoon in Himachal

Himachal Pradesh is experiencing heavy rainfall, flash floods and cloud explosions in the region, causing widespread damage to public services and demanding hundreds of lives in this monsoon season. According to the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA), the ongoing monsoon created a widespread destruction to Himachal Pradesh, claiming that there were 263 life since June 20.

Previously, HPSDMA, as of the evening of August 17, 352 roads, including three national highways, has been prevented, 1,067 power distribution transformer (DTR) and 116 water supply plan was reported throughout the state.
