LSU freshman JT Lindsey arrested after allegedly harboring 2 murder suspects in his dorm

LSU first -year student JT Lindsey, after being accused of hosting two murder suspects in the dormitory room, surrendered himself by order of arrest on Friday afternoon. According to Chris Nakamato from WAFB.

Lindsey was faced with two heavy criminal accessories after the second -degree murder, and was reportedly released from the East Baton Rouge Parish prison with a bond of 5,000 dollars. LSU reportedly had suspended him from all football activities until the charges were resolved.
Two suspects of Lindsey accused of hosting, 17 -year -old Shemell Jacobs, and his own hometown of Alexandria, 18 -year -old Keldrick Jordan, a friend of Louisiana. On Monday, they were arrested by the US Marshals Service at LSU’s Nicholson Gateway dormitories.
Jacobs and Jordan reportedly requested in second -degree murder charges in connection with the fiery death of 17 -year -old Corey Brooks in Alexandria in May. Apparently, Lindsey, allegedly found to have found more than one weapon, including two AR-15 rifles, is believed to have stayed on the campus apartment building for about two weeks.
Lindsey’s lawyer Kris Perret claimed that his client’s friends were unaware that the murder was requested and that he was in the football camp as the situation was played. Through WAFB:
JT Lindsey is determined to claim any criminal abuse and that he is innocent for alleged injustice to him. He completely cooperates with the authorities and looks forward to cleaning his name as quickly as possible.
He did not realize that the arrested individuals had committed any crimes or that they were accused of any offense or that they wanted to be questioned by the police when they allowed them to stay in their office.
If he knew that individuals had been accused of any crime or that they wanted by the police, he would not have associated them in his apartment or with them in any way.
However, the arrest warrant claims that there was no “quite possible”, Lindsey did not know what his friends were accused, and claimed that one of his partners was aware of the researchers:
“Given that Alexandria’s size and Lindsey should have both victims and suspects, it is unlikely that these media reports will not be aware of. Inspectors also said that Lindsey said that Jacobs and Jordan were asked for murder.”
Jacobs and Jordan have been searched with Alexandria police since May Don’t make a public objection to help to find them. Police Chief Chad Gremillion said, “Let’s be open, everyone who protects or hosts these violent individuals will be held responsible and arrested.”

LSU Athletics Communication Director Michael Bonnette made a brief statement to WAFB, “We are aware and we will not respect the legal process,” he said.
Rivals ranked Lindsey as a four -star recruitment and hope for the 2025 class as the number 75 in the country, and took the ninth national. In 2024, he ran 324 for Alexandria for 2,476 yards and 33 touches, and the annual honor of the Louisiana High School Athletics Association won the Warrick Dunn Award, who knew the best young or senior footballer in the state.
