Lukashenko says Putin has a proposal for Ukraine that Trump is familiar with

(Reuters) -Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said that after he met with Vladimir Putin on Friday, the Russian leader would declare a “very good offer” that he said that he was widely supported by the United States to end the war in Ukraine.

Lukashenko, who met Putin in Moscow for more than five hours, did not say what the proposal required, but he added that he was summarized to US President Donald Trump when he peaked with Putin in Alaska last month.

Putin’s close ally, Lukashenko, said, “President Putin and I discussed it, but I will not talk about it.

Lukashenko says the offer is good for Ukraine

“This is a good offer for Ukraine, Donald Trump in Alaska, as well as other places, as well as Washington, to pay attention and discussion to Washington.” He said.

“Ukrainians do not accept these proposals, it will be at the beginning of the private military operation,” Moscow said. “It will be even worse; they will lose Ukraine.”

Russia insisted that Ukraine has previously rejected Kiev’s NATO membership ambitions, including the renunciation of NATO membership ambitions, and the application of borders to the size of the armed forces.

Three days after Trump, Lukashenko spoke in an unexpected shift, he said that Ukraine’s lost lands – up to about one fifth of the country – up to about one fifth of the country – and that the Russian economy should now take action because it has a deep problem.

The Kremlin rejected these comments and attributed them to Trump’s newly met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and influenced Zelenskiy’s view of the conflict. Zelenskiy said that Putin was a negotiation, but it had nothing to do with peace.

“To avoid losing all Ukraine, (Zelenskiy) should not only negotiate, but also accept positive conditions – in order to avoid losing all Ukraine – the terms approved by the Americans in general.” He said.

He also suggested that Putin and Zelenskiy should sit and reach an agreement as the leaders of the three Slavic states.

He says he wants a meeting between Ukraine, Zelenskiy and Putin, but Russia said it might only have to come to Ukrainian leader Moscow.

Lukashenko was isolated, but Trump called him

Lukashenko met Putin more often than other foreign leaders and supported his war in Ukraine without committing to fighting his own troops.

For years, the role of war and human rights record was isolated with Western sanctions. However, in recent weeks, Trump called him, praised him as a “extremely respected” leader, and sent an ambassador to Belarus for interviews that led to the release of more than 50 political prisoners.

US officials say that the Trump administration hopes to remove Belarus from the geopolitical orbit of Moscow, even if it is just to some extent. However, some political analysts do not see it as possible, given Lukashenko’s political, economic and military dependence on his much larger neighbor.

Underlining the proximity of the relationship, Belarus and Russia organized joint military exercises this month. On Friday, Lukashenko proposed to build a nuclear power plant that can provide electricity to Russian controlled parts of Ukraine in Eastern Belarus.
