This Johnnie’s location in Oklahoma City is closing its doors after 40+ years of operation

One of South Oklahoma City’s premier restaurants is closing its doors after more than 40 years in business. Johnnie’s Kitchen & Bar will have its last meal this weekend as the owners decide to enter a different chapter in their lives.
The restaurant announced its closure on social media Wednesday afternoon, saying its 41 years in business had been a blessing.
David Haynes, 72, and Rick Haynes, 67, shared that Sunday, Nov. 16, will be the last day of the business, located at 421 W I-240 Service Road in Oklahoma City. They will continue to operate Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler in Moore and the remaining locations.
“We are so blessed by our employees, our guests, and the OKC community. As we take this next step, we hope you’ll continue to choose local and support our friendly, family-owned restaurants. We look forward to seeing you at one of our other Johnnie’s Charcoal Broiler locations soon,” the duo said. Facebook.
The duo has been in business together for 54 years and “even though they can’t promise another 54 years, we’re sure we have another great 10-15 years ahead!” they say.
To celebrate the closing, they’re inviting all customers to grab a burger one last time and take advantage of Happy Hour prices, which run all day Thursday through Sunday.

All locations are open from 11:00 to 21:00 from Sunday to Wednesday and from 11:00 to 22:00 from Thursday to Saturday.
