Met Office issues 12 hour weather warnings for 2 regions including London in forecast | Weather | News

The Met Office has issued updated yellow weather warnings for rain in England on Thursday 18 December in its new forecast.
One of these is an updated yellow weather warning for rain in South West England between 09:00 (UTC) on Thursday 18 December 2025 and 21:00 (UTC) on Thursday 18 December 2025.
The other is an updated yellow weather warning for rain in South East England between 09:00 (UTC) and 21:00 (UTC) on Thursday 18 December 2025.
The Met Office warns Brits in these regions to expect the following:
- Some homes and workplaces are expected to flood
- Bus and train services will likely be affected by longer journey times
- Water splashing and flooding on roads likely extends journey times
- There may be some disruption to power supplies and other services
- Spray and large waves are likely to affect some coastal roads, which may lead to difficult driving conditions at times
The Met Office’s forecast for Thursday is: “Bright weather will set in in the north, but rain pulses spread northwards on Thursday, particularly heavy across southern England and Wales. Associated storms are again possible.”
