Lune Lonsdale, Melbourne – The Age Good Food app listing
Definitely Lune with two layers of pastry.
“Maxi Lune”, the fourth Melbourne store below the Ritz-Carlton hotel at the western end of the Lune, produces more than 6000 croissants a day. Designed by local studio Plus, the 418 square meter store and production space features high ceilings, a large concrete counter where each pastry is placed, and the distinctive glass-walled “cube” where you can view the laminated pastry centimeters from the inside seat or through a large window on the footpath. It also has the largest seating area among the Lune stores, with a capacity of 50 people.
Since the pastries are baked fresh all day long, you can buy them while they are still hot. This includes the best-selling almond croissant and the second best-selling traditional croissant, as well as monthly specials and products exclusive to Lune Lonsdale.
