M1 and M25 traffic LIVE: Chaos on UK motorway after police incident | UK | News

Some of the two major England highways were closed this morning after a police incident. The M1 in Hertfordshire is closed to the north between J6 (Waterdale Junction) and J6a (M25). National Highways said: “M1 is closed to the north between J6 (#waterdale) and J6a (#m25) because of the M1, Hertfordshire police incident.

He continued: “In both directions in J21 (near #Stalbans) traffic was stopped in M25. Please plan in advance if you are traveling in the region this morning.”

Hertfordshire Police said in a statement: “We are currently dealing with an incident in M1 in J6a (Chiswell Junction), which is currently affecting M25’s J21a.

“If you plan to travel to both intersections in your travels, we recommend looking for an alternative way because the road will be closed.”
