The crash, on a major motorway, has caused serious delays for motorists heading south on the M11. Following the incident that occurred on Saturday morning, long queues were seen on the highway after two lanes between junctions 9 and 8 were temporarily closed. At around 11.30am, National Highways said there were 50-minute delays due to expected traffic, but the situation would improve once the lanes were reopened.

A motorist who was driving on the opposite side of the M11 and saw the aftermath told the Express: “The line goes back for miles. Luckily we’re going the other way.”
