“In the M4, which contains two vehicles between the 16th and 17th intersections, we appeal to witnesses following a deadly collision.

“The incident took place last night just before 23.30 (22/06).

“A woman in her 40s unfortunately died at the scene. Another woman aged in her 70s was seriously injured and five people were subjected to minor injuries. There were three people traveling in the second car. In addition, small injuries continued. All nine people were hospitalized for treatment.

“Our serious collision team is conducting an investigation into events and it is possible that the highway is closed to the west for most of the day. We appreciate that this will cause interruption for many people and thank you for your patience.

“We received reports that a white vehicle might have been included and left the scene.
