Southbound traffic is being diverted and drivers are advised to follow the filled triangle diversion symbols on road signs.
Leave the M5 southbound at J28 and turn right at the traffic light-controlled junction to join the A373. At the roundabout, go straight ahead onto the B3181 (Station Road). Head south on the B3181, passing Cullompton, Westcott, Budlake (running parallel to the M5) and Broadclyst to the Cumberland Road junction. Join Cumberland Road south and at the next roundabout continue straight onto Moor Lane. Continuing south, rejoin the M5 at J30
