According to South West National Highways, the M5 in Devon is closed southbound between J28 (Cullompton) and J29 (Exeter) following a two-vehicle collision this morning before noon.

“The southbound carriageway has been closed to allow emergency services to work safely at the scene and our Traffic Officers are providing support through traffic management,” he says.

“The northbound carriageway was temporarily stopped to allow the air ambulance to attend.

“There is currently no estimate as to when road closures will be lifted.”
