M60 traffic LATEST: Chaos as road closed in Manchester following Trafford Centre incident | UK | News

Part of the M60 was closed briefly this evening following an incident near the Trafford Centre.

The road has now reopened, but there are delays this evening, according to live traffic service Inrix.

The update read: “Traffic is queuing due to earlier crash counterclockwise on the M60 at J9 A5081 Park Way (Trafford Park).”

Reports indicate that a collision occurred.

Traffic congestion continues to increase in the region where highway cameras show heavy delays. National Highways has confirmed all lanes are closed due to a traffic accident.

Eyewitnesses told the Manchester Evening News there had been a “serious accident” near Carrington. Police and Highways officers are still in the area and guidance has been given.
