Motorists are facing rush-hour chaos on the M62 this morning. Delays occurred on the westbound motorway between junctions J25 and J24.

According to National Highways, the traffic jam, which lasted up to 50 minutes, followed overnight roadworks and the failure of plant machinery, leaving the M62 Westbound temporarily closed at junction 24 while vehicles awaited recovery.
