Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were ‘present’ when Ryan Reynolds ripped into tearful Justin Baldoni for ‘fat-shaming’ wife Blake Lively

Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman were reportedly ‘there’ as Ryan Reynolds confronted a tearful Justin Baldoni about ‘fat shaming’ his wife Blake Lively.

A newly opened email from Baldoni’s Wayfarer team, obtained by The Daily Mail, claims Swift, 35, and Jackman, 57, were at Reynolds’, 49, and Lively, 38’s New York City loft during a heated confrontation as Reynolds ‘unloaded’ on Baldoni.

The new exposition in the ongoing legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni includes a timeline of events that Wayfarer Studios co-founder Jamey Heath’s team emailed to Baldoni’s publicist in July 2024.

The document alleges that Baldoni went to the penthouse around April 25, 2023, where Reynolds confronted him about “how terrible it was that Justin was asking about a woman.” [sic] weight’, claiming it was a ‘shame that made Blake fat’.

Baldoni was ‘completely embarrassed, apologized and even shared some tears,’ according to the document.

This confrontation occurred after Lively’s co-star and director Baldoni asked her trainer about her weight before filming a scene in It Ends With Us that required her to lift; he later said this problem was due to concerns about back problems.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Jackman, Swift, Baldoni, Reynolds and Lively for comment.

In December 2024, she filed a live lawsuit against Baldoni and others alleging sexual harassment and retaliation; denies the allegations. Their trials will be held in March 2026.

Swift and Jackman, who reportedly fell out with Lively after being dragged into a legal drama, were previously listed as potential witnesses by Lively’s legal team.

Jackman showed his support for Lively by attending the It Ends With Us premiere in New York City on August 9, 2024, and posing with Lively and Reynolds. She also appeared on the cover of Vogue’s September 2024 issue with Lively.

Swift’s name has surfaced elsewhere in the ongoing legal battle; Baldoni previously claimed the pop star and Reynolds pressured him into agreeing to one of Lively’s rewrites for the film.

Baldoni’s lawyers tried to subpoena him in May.

At the time, her rep insisted she had nothing to do with the film, saying: ‘Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this film, was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, did not score the film, did not see any edits or receive any notes on the film, did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after the film was released, and is traveling the world on the biggest tour in history in 2023 and 2024.’

During the filming of It Ends With Us, Baldoni was introduced by Lively to her personal trainer, Don Saladino, to help him prepare for the role.

In a $400 million countersuit that has since been dismissed by a judge, Baldoni’s lawyers said they contacted Lively’s trainer to ‘ask her weight so she could work her back muscles in preparation for the lifting scene.’
