magicpin aims to grow its active user base to 20 million by 2026, with food delivery being a key driver of growth, Anshoo Sharma, CEO and Founder of the hyperlocal platform, said on Sunday.
The company reached 15 million active users last year across various categories, including e-commerce, ticketing and food delivery, and is focusing on the value-conscious segment to further expand its food delivery vertical, Sharma told PTI in an interview.
“Our focus is on creating value-conscious food delivery users who order frequently and interact habitually. We aim to grow our active user base to 20 million by 2026, using food delivery as a key growth driver, especially among students and first-time job seekers,” said Sharma.
The majority of the 15 million active users on the platform belong to the value-conscious segment of the 18-35 age group in India’s major cities. Food delivery continues to be the primary growth driver, driven by higher repeat users and increasing cross-category transactions, said Sharma, CEO and Founder of Magicpin, adding that the platform’s food delivery average order value is currently Rs 300.
He observed that India’s consumer economy is increasingly shifting towards value-oriented, habitual spending on food distribution, especially among students and working professionals.
