Rahel Solomon, anchor of CNN’s Early Start program, announced live on air that she will be leaving the channel at the end of the week.

Solomon currently hosts the network’s 5 a.m. ET program, which focuses on the night’s breaking news and stories expected to shape the day. The program started about a year ago and is simulcast on CNN International. As a reporter, he also reported on business and economic issues, including inflation and the labor market.

Reflecting on his time at the channel, Solomon said: “It has truly been an honor to serve as CNN’s business correspondent. I have covered everything from inflation to the job market and everything in between.” He also thanked his colleagues, saying he was “proud to work with” the Early Start team and the wider newsroom.

Suleiman joined CNN in 2022 after working as a general news reporter at CNBC.
