Another important name is to withdraw from the country -wide city centers because it continues to weaken its presence in New Look British High Street.

Once upon a time, the fashion retailer, which once operated more than 600 sales points in the UK, is more than 330 after years of restructuring. And on the more closing road – the next branch will close its doors on September 17, when the Scarborough store in Brunswick Center is well closed.

This year, Wales are watching a series of closures, including sites in Scotland, Essex and Cornwall. This shows a worrying tendency for those who see that familiar fashion names disappear from their high streets.

The chain was shot with increasing costs and changing shopping habits. The company points to higher employment costs after the government’s latest national insurance changes and online retail shift.

Despite the interruptions, New Look says that it still invests in the online platform and tested new “multi -channel” store formats, including an investment of £ 3 million in Greater Manchester earlier this year.

A spokesman explained: “Our store property is an important part of our business and our application as well as our business.”

He continued: “This multi -channel approach, which allows us to provide the best service to our 10 million customers, but they like to shop.”

This year, the closing left gaps on a few high streets, some branches are still empty months after closing. Wickford, Essex, which was first closed in January after 15 years of transaction, has not yet found a spare tenant.
