Major mishap averted as beam falls during Aroor-Thuravoor elevated highway construction

Aroor -Thuravoor, a large iron beam, which was established as part of the high road construction, fell to the ground at the junction of Thuravoor while dismantling on Sunday morning (17 August 2025). Nobody was injured in the incident, which occurred around 6 am
The falling beam, which was about 24 m long and weighing about 50 tons, was placed on a scaffolding cover of the raised highway to fix the beams. The beams were already released and fixed, with the help of a crane when the rope broke, and caused him to fall. Partially to the truck brought to carry him and partially went down. Traffic was prevented during disassembly, which helped prevent a large tragedy.
Then another crane was brought to remove and remove the beam. The incident caused a traffic deduction in the National Highway (NH) 66 for about two hours.
