Major Reservoir Filled to Brim in AP

Vijayawada: All large reservoirs in large rivers such as Krishna, Godavari and Penna are filled to the brim on Wednesday after heavy rainfall in their basin areas.

The Pulintala project has a water source in some parts of TaLangana, which has witnessed heavy rains from local basin areas in the last few days. The project also receives its water from the Sagar project of the upward flow. This causes the project to have an existing storage area in 39.6 TMC-FT (86.52 percent) against the gross capacity of 45.77 TMC-FT FRL-the water outlet and the water output of approximately 3.15 Lakh Cusecs.
Prakasam Dam was already filled with 3.07 TMC FT water (100 percent).
