Hilarys Dog Beach: Popular Perth beach remains closed as asbestos cleanup continues
The Hillarys Dog Beach remains closed after the appearance of asbestos containing asbestos along the shore.
The city of Joondalup closed the access to the beach area affected on 8 August after the erosion caused by dangerous building materials exposed to wild air.

A tractor will also operate during the main tension of the beach to ensure that all buried ruins are cleaned.

Mr. Jacob said that the city has taken steps to address erosion difficulties along the beach.
“To address long -term erosion problems, the city will enter an external contractor to make an assessment to examine historical metous data and beach conditions to inform the mid -term protection and improvement actions,” he said.
While the beach is closed, the city dog owners encourages dog owners to use domestic animals in other dog -friendly parks, including fence -surrounded exercise area in Elcar Park in Joondalup.
