Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud pregnant with first child
Getty ImagesGirls Aloud lead singer Nicola Roberts has announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
In her social media post, the star said she was five months pregnant and that she and her partner, football player Mitch Hahn, were “waiting” to meet their baby in the spring.
Roberts, 40, could be seen cradling her belly in front of a Christmas tree in a photo gallery shared on Instagram.
“Mitch and I had such a magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families,” the post read.
He added that the couple were “keeping a secret” before revealing the happy news.
Other celebs congratulated the couple in the comments on the Instagram post, while bandmate Kimberley Walsh said it was the “best news ever”.
Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, who is expecting her second child, wrote: “Best news. Congratulations beautiful!”
Comedian and Famous Villains winner Alan Carr also commented: “Great news! Sending you so much love!”

Girls Aloud members Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Walsh and Roberts reunited for an arena tour of the UK and Ireland last year; this was their first tour in over 11 years.
They dedicated the new shows to bandmate Sarah Harding. Who died of cancer in 2021 at the age of 39.
2024 marks 21 years since they won the TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals and formed the band.
Roberts has released her own music and also starred in musicals.
She is currently starring in the West End production of the hit musical Hadestown, which tells a version of the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus, and will end her career as the goddess Persephone in January.
