Princess Anne will travel to Brisbane tomorrow as part of a four-day tour of Australia; It is one of the royal family’s first international appearances since King Charles sensationally stripped his brother of his princely title.

The monarch’s younger sister, often called the hardest-working British royal, is visiting the country with her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, to celebrate the centenary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals.

The Princess will head to Brisbane tomorrow for Remembrance Day.

While here, the Princess will lay a wreath on Armistice Day at Gallipoli Barracks to commemorate the Centenary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals.

His visit comes at a time of intense scrutiny of the royal family, triggered by his brother King Charles’ decision to strip former prince Andrew Mountbatten of Windsor of his titles.

But University of Sydney monarchy expert Cindy McCreery said the trip could still offer an opportunity to ease some of the royal family’s anger.

Philip Benwell, president of the Australian Monarchist Union, said the visit was a reminder that the nation remained firmly committed to Britain.
