Claire Foy has revealed she quit caffeine after discovering she had parasites in her body for five years.
The 41-year-old British actress said she suspected something was wrong as she continued to lose weight.
He sought medical help, saying he ‘didn’t know what was going on’, and was told he had a parasite in his body.

He explained: ‘At least five years. And they travel as a couple. The doctor told me it was disgusting, definitely rank. It’s already disgusting.
‘That’s why I quit caffeine. Because I had to give up. ‘I basically had to go on this diet and take all these little nasty things because I didn’t want to take really harsh antibiotics and things like that, and part of it was giving up caffeine.’

Claire, who appeared alongside Jessie and Lennie Ware in the latest episode of Table Manners, revealed she contracted the parasite while in Morocco.
Claire also revealed that she gave up gluten and sugar due to an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation.
He said: ‘This is my big secret, I feel like I’m in The Traitors or something and I’m letting everyone know I’m related to someone!
‘So I don’t actually eat gluten or sugar [..] Except when I go out for dinner. It has no effect on me.
‘Just because I have an autoimmune condition, I have to avoid anything that causes more inflammation.’
Claire’s latest comments come after she admitted she had ‘thought about death’ in a morbid conversation discussing her various childhood medical conditions.
The Stockport-born actor, who will celebrate his 42nd birthday in April, grew up with his two younger siblings in the midcounties of Buckinghamshire before leaving to study film and drama at Liverpool John Moores University.
But his childhood was ruined by a series of unforeseen problems, including a benign tumor behind one eye and juvenile arthritis, which left him unable to walk without the aid of crutches when he was just 13.
And Claire admits that a series of illnesses led to an unhealthy preoccupation with her own mortality, so much so that she believed her life would be over before she reached middle age.
Claire’s latest comments come after she admitted she had ‘thought about death’ in a morbid conversation discussing her various childhood medical conditions.
He told Sunday Times Culture last month: ‘Death? The fact that we’re all about to get out? This is something we don’t want to think about while we’re alive. But I’ve thought about death my whole life.
‘I assumed this would happen, especially throughout my childhood… my thing was that I would never make it past 40, right? without stopping. I have experienced many medical events in my life.
‘But yes, I’m still here, and someone once said to me: “You know, most people are alive?” These meant that most people lived very long and good lives. Well, it’s not necessarily nice. But people tend to live.
‘This is what people want to do. We want to survive and that’s quite reassuring.’
Claire suffered ‘terrible, debilitating’ pain as a result of juvenile arthritis, which usually affects children under 16, and she believes the condition helped her gain a positive outlook as she progressed into adulthood.
The star will star opposite Andrew Garfield in The Magic Faraway Tree, a special effects-filled fantasy adventure based on author Enid Blyton’s popular book series of the same name.
It will be released in cinemas in the UK on March 26.
