Man arrested for murder after manhunt

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager following a two-week manhunt.

Adam Henry, 15, died after being stabbed in Islington, east London, on December 9.

Det Ch Insp Allam Bhangoo, of the Metropolitan Police, said Mr Dedour “tried many ways to evade capture, but thanks to the efforts of officers we are now one step closer to achieving justice.”

The investigating detective added: “Our thoughts are with Adam’s loved ones at this unimaginably difficult time.

“There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets and those responsible for such crimes must be brought to justice.”

Friday’s arrests include three men, aged 18, 23 and 39, and a 47-year-old woman, who were detained for assisting an offender.

The woman was also arrested after assaulting a police officer, while the 39-year-old man was also arrested for domestic violence and driving offences.

All five remain behind bars.

Tsidi Winion, 20, of Handyside Avenue, Camden, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on December 15.
