Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 14-year-old boy suffered multiple stab wounds, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to the area of ​​Notte Street and Athenaeum Street in Plymouth at around 18:50 GMT on Monday.

Police said the child was taken to the hospital, where he remained and his injuries were not life-threatening.

Police said a 22-year-old man remains in police custody.

Police said: “Detectives continue to progress the investigation and there will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.

“Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police.”
