Man banned from every Tesco, Co-op and Sainsburys in UK | UK | News

A man was banned from entering many shops in England. Christopher Moran, 57, is now not allowed into any Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, B&M, TK Maxx, Iceland, Booths or Trespass stores in the country.
The prolific thief pleaded guilty to 10 counts of theft at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, November 27. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in custody, in addition to the 52-week sentence he was already serving. Moran, of no fixed address, was also given a five-year criminal behavior order (CBO).
As reported by MirrorHe carried out a series of burglaries in the South Ribble and Preston areas. As well as being banned from a number of shops, he has also been banned from Preston Marina, Navigation Road and the entire Penwortham restricted area.
Additionally, an employee must leave the store immediately if requested. Moran must also return selected stock before leaving the facility.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “CBOs are used to target individuals who create persistent demand and are found to be frequently involved in crime in a particular area.
“These are given to people who have been convicted of a crime to prevent them from engaging in further criminal behavior.”
In a post on Facebook on Friday, November 28, South Ribble Police said: “This is Christopher Moran, a prolific thief who has been targeting shops in South Ribble and Preston on a sustained theft spree.
“Yesterday, at Preston Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded guilty to 10 counts of theft and was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison and given a 5-Year Criminal Conduct Order. “Moran is currently in prison serving a 52-week sentence for other offences.
“CBO prohibits it from:
- Entry into any of the following stores in the UK: Booths, Iceland, Tesco, Co-Op Food Store, Sainsburys, B&M Bargains, TK Maxx and Trespass.
- Entrance to Preston Marina, Navigation Road, Preston.
- Entrance to the Penwortham area as indicated on the attached map.
- “If any employee of any retail premises is requested to leave, do so immediately and before doing so return the stock selected prior to the request.”
