Moment nuclear plant towers collapse during demolition

In the German town of Gundremmingen, two cooling towers of the nuclear power plant, which has been a fixture of the environment since 1980, were destroyed.

During the controlled demolition with explosives, thick clouds of white smoke and dust rose into the air as the towers collapsed.

The nuclear power plant has been offline for four years, part of Germany’s phase-out of nuclear power.
