Man breaks into Brisbane police facility, steals cop uniform

Michael Zerafa’s chance to tarnish the Tszyu legacy will come to Brisbane after the venue for his grudge match with Nikita Tszyu was confirmed.

The Brisbane Entertainment Center will host the super heavyweight and middleweight fight between Tszyu (11-0) and Zerafa (34-5) on January 16.

This showdown has been years in the making since Zerafa pulled out of a fight with Tszyu’s older brother Tim in 2020.

“This is as big an event as it gets,” No Limit Boxing boss George Rose said. “The most talked about name in Australian boxing, Nikita Tszyu, faces Michael Zerafa, who has made it his mission to destroy the Tszyu legacy.”

The two will face off in a floating boxing ring under the Story Bridge on the Brisbane River on Tuesday morning to promote the fight.

“The animosity between these two runs very deep and it all comes to a head here in Queensland,” Rose said. “No more talking, no more excuses and nowhere to hide. It ends in Brisbane on January 16.

“This fight will shake the country and I can promise Queensland fans will make this a night Australian sport will never forget.”
