Man brutally kills mother with axe, sits near body singing for hours; attacks police

A brutal incident from Chhattisgarh shocked everyone. A 28 -year -old man from the Jashpur region killed his mother with an ax, sat down just a few meters away from the dead body and sang for hours. Later, the locals found him playing with the sand near him mother Dead corpse and informed police.

The defendant, who was described as Jeet Ram Yadav, allegedly attacked 59 -year -old Ana Gulabi, the defendant, under the Kunkuri station under the bendrerbhadra village in the houses of around 5 am. According to eyewitnesses, Jeet Ram hit his mother over and over until he died. In anger, he murmured a song and played with Sand, sitting for hours near the dead body.

Everyone was horrified by the man and did not dare to intervene while threatening everyone approaching with a gun. The police ran to the scene, but the defendant took the ax and tried to attack them. With about four hours of struggle, the police managed to overcome him and arrested him according to TOI.

Jashpur SP Shashimohan Singh said the exact cause of the incident is not yet known. According to the media reports, Yadav suffered with an unstable mind for 2 years, and one of the relatives was being treated by the traditional healers (Baigas).
