Brisbane drivers are told to support potential traffic delays today as they get out of work due to a wage dispute with hundreds of transport engineers state government.

More than 400 engineers and technicians from the Department of Transport and Main Roads continued to strike from 6 am today and are preparing to gather from 10 o’clock outside the CBD offices of the department.

Professionals said that the Australian Union will affect the maintenance and emergency business and major infrastructure projects.

Union is looking for wage increases between 19 and 23.5 percent for road engineers and technical professionals and says that other workers in the department and the same government projects are paid up to 20 percent.

Crisafulli participates in an increasing list of discontent trade unions participating in wage disputes.

While public school teachers attracted attention on Wednesday, nurses and midwives took industrial action in June. Firefighters will vote for a strike this week.

Last week, Premier David Crisafullli made a principle of fee agreement with police officers.

Professionals Australia Queensland Branch Director Sean Kelly said that the members “depend on their work and communities, but they will not continue with low charge”.
