Man charged with murder after woman hit by car dies in Melbourne’s north

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman who was struck by a car in Melbourne’s north.

The woman was hit by a car on Seston Street in Reservoir at around 7.40pm on Friday night.

The identity of the woman, who was determined to have died at the scene, has not yet been officially determined.

A 44-year-old Reservoir man, known to the woman, was arrested at the scene.

Police have now charged him with one count of murder.

The man is expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday.
