The National Highways statement says: “The M2, J1 in the City is closed to the east between the J1 Three Sex Clated Junction (Gillingham, Grain (A228) A289, Rochester, Strood A2) and J3 Bluebell Hill Junction (Maidstone, Chatham A229; Channel Tunnel (M20)).

“This event also includes the J2 Merrrals Shaw Junction (Rochester, West Malling A228).

“City Police, South East Ambulance Service and National Highways at the scene with a serious incident.”
