Paqueta secures exit from West Ham

Crystal Palace have accelerated negotiations for Wolves’ £40 million striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The 25-year-old striker saw Wolves reject a bid worth £39 million, including add-ons, from Leeds United.

Wolves have not yet received a formal offer from Crystal Palace for Larsen but know talks will take place soon. Leeds will also attempt to submit a rival bid but must work within PSR restrictions.

Palace want a striker to replace Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has offers from Nottingham Forest and AC Milan.

They want £40 million to cover the cost of a bid to bring back Strand Larsen to replace Mateta.

Palace want to know if the player will join their project before making their offer official, but talks took place on Wednesday.

Rock-bottom Wolves eye supplements

Wolves have spoken to FC Basel about winger Philip Otele and versatile defender Jonas Adjetey to strengthen their squad and prepare for all scenarios ahead of Monday’s deadline.

Negotiations regarding the transfer of Emmanuel Agbadou to Beşiktaş have reached an impasse due to failure to reach an agreement on the fee, but the Turkish side can restart negotiations by keeping its window open for a longer period of time until February 11.
