Idaho bar offers free beer for helping ICE deport illegal immigrants

Bar patrons toast to a local Idaho bar promised by viral social media post “free beer” To anyone who helped Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) track down and deport an illegal immigrant.

Old State Saloon warned its followers on Saturday, writing on X that “anyone who helps ICE identify and eventually deport an illegal from Idaho will receive ONE MONTH OF FREE BEER at their establishment.”

The watering hole, located in Eagle, Idaho, added that it “can award multiple moons to one person if more than one illegal person is deported.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reposted the lounge’s trailer with a GIF highlighting their surprise at the proposal. Bar responded enthusiastically: “Let’s go! Deport them all!”

One user responded to the announcement, asking if the lounge could create a leaderboard and win the “Deporter of the Year” award, which earns even more free beer at the end of the year.

At least one person has already been approved by the hall. Ryan Spoon, vice chairman of the Ada County Republican Central Committee in Idaho, will receive a free beer from any of 20 draft options after providing evidence that he helped ICE make an arrest, the organization said.

Conservative Gen Z influencer Bo Loudon also responded to the salon’s announcement, calling it an “incredible idea” about X.

“That’s why I love the United States,” he added.

While many people supported the bar’s initiative, some also called for it to be canceled or boycotted. The salon even posted negative Google reviews, citing “1-star reviews coming from the losing LEFT.”

The salon stated in its social media bio that “Liberals all over the world hate us,” while claiming to be “The Birthplace of Straight Awesomeness Month.”

In 2024, the lounge’s owner, Mark Fitzpatrick, announced that his organization would introduce “Straight Awesomeness Month” throughout June, featuring discounts and free beer for straight men, women, and couples, in response to Pride Month.

The salon offers a wide selection of products, including shirts bearing the slogan “Make America Straight Again,” according to the store’s website.
