Tram driver world championship sees bowling and curling among challenges

An Austrian tram driver was the winner of the World Championship, the first tram driver in Vienna.
Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro and San Diego drivers went to the city to show their tram operating skills in front of thousands of spectators.
The event saw that drivers competed in a number of tram -based difficulties, including interesting bowling and curl tasks using the tool.
Organizers, thousands of visitors have come to watch the 160 -year demonstration since the introduction of Trams to Vienna.
The Austrian team defeated the competition, which was on the road to win but ranked fourth in the European champion Budapest.
A total of 25 teams from around the world fought a 250 -meter -long track.
The world’s tram professionals have been tested on operating capabilities with eight difficulties, including proper braking and acceleration of vehicles.
A test saw a bowl of water tied in front of the tram, the driver was assigned to the brake without any problems to avoid pouring any liquid.
Another challenge – the tram curling – he saw the drivers pushed a bicycle car, so he stopped at a certain point.
The tram bowling, which used a giant ball to demolish inflatable pins, was another fan favorite.

Austrian participant Florijan Isaku said he was “overwhelmed” and “silent” in his own country.
“Just great,” he called Vienna’s public transportation operator Weiner Linien.
However, it was a disappointing day for Hungary, who learned that speed was not everything.
“Curling was the most challenging mission for me and I didn’t really want it as I could,” he said.
“I thought my speed would be enough, but it wasn’t finally.”
Next year’s European championships will take place in Warsaw, Poland.
