Trump says US troops to ‘protect’ Portland facilities

US President Donald Trump said he directed Pete Hegseth to send troops to protect Portland and Federal immigration facilities.
He made the announcement on social media and wrote that he directed the Ministry of Defense to “provide all the necessary troops to protect Portland, which destroyed the war”.
“I give full power authority if necessary.” He said.
Trump said the decision was necessary to protect the US immigration and customs conservation (ICE) facilities.
The ICE plant in Portland has been the target of frequent demonstrations that sometimes lead to violent conflicts.
Some federal agents were injured and several protesters were accused of attacks.
When the protesters set up a guillotine at the beginning of this month, the Ministry of Internal Security described it as “UNHINGED BEHAVIOR”.
Since the assassination of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Trump has increased his efforts to confront the country’s “radical left”, in which the country is responsible for political violence.
In early September, Trump described living in Portland as “like living in hell”, and recently he said he was thinking of sending in federal troops because he threatened to fight crime in other cities, including Chicago and Baltimore.
